Bayern Munich’s quest to return to the Bundesliga throne continues with a comfortable-looking clash against Bochum at the Allianz Arena.

Fresh off a 3-0 rout of Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, high-flying Bayern Munich return to Bundesliga action, aiming to preserve a landslide eight-point lead on the reigning holders. Vincent Kompany’s side beat Stuttgart 3-1 on the road last time out, marking their first turnaround after falling behind 1-0 in top-flight action this season (D2, L1). A less stressful affair is probably around the corner as the Bavarians head into proceedings on a ten-game unbeaten home run in all competitions (W9, D1). Furthermore, they’re one match away from equaling the club’s longest winning home streak in the Bundesliga of 11 games, having netted 3+ goals in all ten wins during this phenomenal stretch. 

Meanwhile, Bochum’s season-long fight against the drop took another hit last weekend as Hoffenheim beat them 1-0, leaving them in the relegation playoff spot, four points adrift of 15th-placed St. Pauli. The visitors have stuttered since the turn of the calendar year, winning just two of their nine league fixtures in 2025 (D3, L4). Moreover, none of their four away league matches this calendar year has yielded victory (D2, L2), with Bochum conceding 2+ goals on three occasions. Another leaky performance is on the cards, not least because Dieter Hecking’s men have conceded 17 unanswered goals across their last three visits to Bayern!
